Led by John Harapiak of Western Co-operative Fertilizers Ltd., research in the 1980s and 1990s added to our understanding on how roots develop and respond to fertilizer placement. This booklet highlights how deep banding influences root development, and still informs recommendations on fertilizer management for today’s agronomists and farmers.
