Digging into Research
In the 1980s and 1990s, Western Co-operative Fertilizers Ltd. conducted research across western Canada on nutrient management. Led by John Harapiak, research into deep banding provided the foundation for many of today’s fertilizer recommendations. This booklet highlights many of those deep banding research projects, and could still provide positive influence and recommendations on N management for today’s young agronomists and farmers.
